A visit with a dental hygienist from our hygiene team can sometimes be referred to as a cleaning. At Dimension Dentistry, we refer to these visits as preventative care and maintenance appointments. Although we do “clean” your teeth, a visit with us involves a thorough assessment of your oral health, including your gums, tissues, and teeth. Our dedicated hygienists will remove any plaque and tartar on your teeth using a technique referred to as scaling. Patient education is our priority—we want to ensure that you understand any treatment being provided or recommended.
Our dental hygiene team also provides extra services such as oral cancer screenings, whitening procedures, sealants to prevent decay, laser therapy for advanced gum disease, and much more.
