Their education and training, professionalism, and experience, coupled with provincial registration and licensing, qualify them to perform various supportive and direct patient care procedures. Our dental assistants uphold the highest standard of care by exceeding the infection control protocols outlined by the Alberta Dental Association.
Our friendly Dental Assistants team attend to each patient’s individual needs ensuring that their appointment is as pleasant and comfortable as possible. They update each patients’ health history prior to treatment to ensure that there are no changes that may affect their visit. Dental assistants perform a variety of clinical procedures. They assist our Dentists with the administration of anesthetics, general dentistry, and specialty procedures.
They perform preventive and prosthodontic intra-oral procedures as well as post-treatment care. These may include temporary crown placement, preliminary impressions, polishing, dental dams, and fluoride. Our dental assistants take digital radiographs for use in treatment. They also provide post-operative care and dental health education.
