Community involvement is essential to us at Dimension Dentistry. Every day Dr. Brent Fairbanks, Dr. Mark Fairbanks, Dr. Ben Fairbanks, and Dr. Davis Guenther give back to the local communities of Sundance, Midnapore, Shawnessy, Chaparral, Silverado, Millrise, Evergreen, and Bridlewood. Dimension Dentistry was recently a major funding partner of Mid-Sun Playgrounds’ new playground development on Sunlake Road SE.
Our dentists have taken their dedication even further by adopting two dental clinics in rural Rwanda, Africa. Both doctors have been involved in donating supplies, including dental chairs, instruments, and much more. They travel to Rwanda for up to four weeks each year, contributing their skills and time to train and educate African dental therapists. The mission is to educate on preventive care and restorative treatment. Before the clinic’s opening, tooth extraction was as high as 95%. With the proper education in preventative and restorative dentistry, that number is down to 65% in only a year!
Pre-Covid our staff worked closely with the Alex Dental Bus, opening up our doors several times a year to provide dental care for Calgarians in need. We look forward to the day that restrictions lessen, and we are able to once again work with the Alex Dental Bus and again provide a much-needed service to Calgarians.
